We’re excited to share that our video, Why Use an Ecomap When Providing Systemic Family Therapy?, has surpassed 1,000 views on YouTube!

In Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), understanding a family requires looking beyond the immediate referral concern to explore the broader social ecology in which the family lives, connects, and navigates challenges. The ecomap is a valuable assessment tool that helps clinicians identify the people, places, relationships, and resources influencing family functioning.

By mapping a family’s connections with its environment, clinicians can begin to understand both the stressors that contribute to family distress and the strengths and supports that can promote healing. The ecomap encourages us to look beyond individual symptoms and consider how relationships, community resources, and environmental pressures shape the family’s experiences.

This milestone reflects the importance of sharing practical tools that help clinicians think systemically and develop a more comprehensive understanding of the families they serve.

Haven’t watched it yet? We invite you to watch the video and explore how the ecomap can strengthen your systemic assessment and clinical practice.
